Introducing the Book

Summary:

This novel is about the simple but romance between Juli and Bryce, two teenagers.

The first time Juli Baker saw Bryce Loski, she flipped. However, the first time Bryce saw Juli, he was afraid and ran away. After experience many things ,during which they misunderstood each other, they understand the feelings for each other and got together eventually.

Comment on the passage or sentence:

He just grinned and said Some of u get dipped in flat, some in satin, some in gloss…He turned to me. But every once in a while you find someone whos iridescent, and when you do ,nothing will ever compare.

The sentences were said by Bryces grandpa. He invented to remind that Juli was a good girl, who Bryce shouldnt miss. There are many different people all over the world, but when you find someone who is iridescent, your world will be filled with colors and happiness, and then nothing can distract your attention .I think it very vivid to describe the true person as for everyone. Maybe its hard for us to find ,but the result deserve our expectation.

My opinion about the book:

I love the character ,Julianna Baker.Juli was a simple and sincere girl, but many people who didnt understand her thought her stubborn .She loved the holy sycamore tree, the eggs collecting from her backyard and loved her family. I appreciate her fearlessness and persistence. Although she knew Bryce didnt like her, she still carried on.

And then, what impressed me most was her love for the sycamore tree. She made great efforts to fought for the tree , preventing it from cutting down despite the fact that the tree was cut at last.

I love the book, which told the readers the story in two voices. From my perspective , by this way ,readers can know more about the psychology of characters

< The Lady of the Camellias / k?’mili? / >

Author: Alexandre Dumas.fils

In General: The story is about a woman called Marguerite.

At first, she was an ordinary girl, coming from the country. After coming to Paris, equipped with her beauty, she became a prostitute, who always carried camellias, in order to make her living. Prostitute as she was, she still kept a pure heart. Afterwards, she fell in love with Armand, who played an important role in her life. Armand gave her tender love and also hurt her deeply. Their love wasnt stable for they met lots of troubles. Marguerite gave up and chose to leave Armand in order not to burden his life, which ought to be happy. Owing to misunderstanding, they broke up.

Finally, Armand had a happy family .After Marguerite died of disease, Armand knew the truth.

Common on the sentence:

No one would consider whether Armand loves you, whether you love him, whether this mutual love means happiness to him and redemption to you; they would see only one thing, that Armand Duval allowed a kept woman (forgive me, my child ,for what I am forced to say to you) to sell she had for him

This sentence touches my heart deeply. Its a cruel fact that as a prostitute, Marguerite was looked down on by other people. Its generally believed that her love was cheap and unworthy. No one would care what a true and sincere love had and meanwhile, no one would consider that their mutual love could bring Armand happiness for good and she would gave up her job thoroughly for love. The only one thing the public would see was that she was a kept woman, who would bring Armand lots of trouble and didnt deserve to be loved. From this sentence, we can know more about the darkness of upper class society in Paris at that time. As a reader, I feel sympathy for Marguerite.

Book: <Pride and Prejudice>

Author: Jane Austen

In General: This is a story about pride and prejudice,

Elizabeth met Darcy in a ball. For the reason that Darcy was so pride , the Elizabeths first impression of him was not good . Elizabeth was full of self-esteem, so she didnt want to show interest in him. Yet, afterwards,

Her cute behavior caught his attention and left him favorable impression. Meanwhile, Darcy started change his thoughts and attitude towards Elizabeth. Owing to some understandings, Elizabeth disliked him more. Her prejudice against Darcy was increasing. When Darcy proposed marriage to her, her refused without hesitation for his pride attitude towards her and her prejudice against him. Struck by this event, Darcy was the first time to realize the consequence of his pride and chose to left. However After reading Darcys letter and knowing some truths, Elizabeth was ashamed and even changed her prejudice against him into true love.

Experiencing several things, they got married eventually. Although pride and prejudice stopped them loving each other, at last they still became couple

Common on the passage:

Sometimes the perfect person for you is the one you least expect

I love a sentence, “Sometimes the perfect person for you is the one you least expect.” which left me a deep impression. The world is changeable and you will never know whom you eventually married to, just like Elizabeth and Darcy. Perhaps, the most suitable person for you is the one you never consider. Someone may be around you, but you dont think that you can be a couple for some reasons. The first time Darcy met Elizabeth, he didnt pay attention to her because of his pride. Elizabeth also had prejudice against him owing to the first impression. It was pride and prejudice that always blocked their love. Born into a wealthy family, Darcy was so pride and he thought ordinary women could not serve as his partners. Yet, afterwards, he fell in love with Elizabeth, who was also ordinary woman without living a rich family as well as having an excellent look. After pride and prejudice disappeared, they found their true love. True love is strange, for it always appears in the places that you never notice. Sometimes, you heart may be covered with pride and prejudice, so you can not find the perfect person for you , like Elizabeth and Darcy.

Book: <The Little Prince>

In General:

The story was described in the voice of a pilot, who couldn’t find someone to talk happily in the adult world, for the reason that he disliked talked about facts. He said he met the little prince in Sahara Desert owing to an accident six years ago. The little prince came from the other planet .He was friendly and told the pilot his experience and adventure in six planets, during which he met lots of people and animals, such as a fox and a King.

The pilot had a valuable friendship with the little prince in the dessert, so he wrote the novel for remembrance.

Comment on the sentence:

One.

I was moved by the true friendship between the pilot and the little prince. I remember there is a sentence in the story, “Friends will come and friends will go. But our friendship stays strong and true. It means although our friends will no always accompany us, our friendship still keep true and strong. True friendship is indestructible, just like the pilot and the little prince.

Two:

Flowers are so inconsistent! But I was too young to know how to love her

The rose didn’t know express her love for the little prince and meanwhile, the little prince could not how to love her for he was too young. Therefore, the little prince chose to left. She had accompanied him for a long time. After separation, he misses her and came to know what the rose meant to him. She had accompanied him for a long time. It stands for love, which is annoying but beautiful. From my perspective, it is a good sentence that can convey the strange feeling about love, especially first love.

At this time, Rochester hurt badly and became the disabled. She found Rochester and was moved by him, so eventually, she married him and live her life what she wanted

Common on the sentence:

God did not so. Our spirit is same, just like you with my grave, will equally by standing in front of god

At that time, women were still looked down on. It was generally believed that women should in the lower level, attached to men and only listening to the men. However, Jane Eyre didnt think so. From the sentence, she said her spirit is the same to his .Their spirit was same. For example, when Rochester came to her grave, he also would stand in front of god. His action would not different from hers. In the opinion of Jane Eyre, women have the same right as men. The author wanted to convey in the story that Womens destinies are in their hands and they are supposed to change them in person, not always considering mens thoughts. Jane Eyre tried her best to gain her own true happiness. Although she didnt have a wealthy family and she wasnt good-looking, she never gave up seeking for what she wanted. Nothing is perfect, but anything is equal.
